Prairie Lea Cemetery

The Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham, Texas is one of the most historic cemeteries in Texas.  Washington County has a rich heritage dating back to the Texas Revolution including the Civil War.  Two companies of the famous Hood's Texas Brigade where mustered hill and the camp where General Thomas Waul trained the famous Waul's Texas Legion is located just north of Brenham.
